Regus, the global workspace provider, has today announced plans to open its first business centre in Shipley.  Just one of the new centres in the company's pipeline for 2017, the deal is further evidence of Regus' UK network expansion as demand for flexible workspace continues to increase.

The centre will be located on the first floor of Salts Mill, a former textile mill which is now home to a thriving arts, business, shopping and dining complex.

The site will house almost 90 workstations and offer a range of flexible working options for businesses and professionals including co-working space, virtual office services, meeting rooms which are bookable by the hour, and several offices of varying sizes.

Regus expects the facility to be popular with a wide range of users including local small businesses, start-ups and remote workers as well as national firms opening satellite offices and global businesses establishing a footprint in the local area.

Richard Morris, UK CEO, Regus, comments: "We're delighted to be opening our first Shipley location.   The town is fast establishing itself as a thriving business destination and a prime spot for firms looking for a well-connected base in the North, so it's only right that it features in our UK expansion plans.

"Salts Mill is a thriving artistic and cultural hub and will make a perfect business base for dynamic companies. It's certainly a welcome addition to our network of workspace in Yorkshire."

Salts Mill was opened in 1853 by industrialist Sir Titus Salt, who built the adjoining model village of Saltaire to house the mill's workers.  The area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
