Most small business owners now keep a closer eye on costs and many are laying off staff

The majority of entrepreneurs admit the credit crunch and subsequent downturn in the economy has had an impact on their business and are taking action as a result, according to a survey of small business owners.

The research, carried out by MacIntyre Hudson, discovered that 55% of entrepreneurs found conditions in their own business more difficult than 12 months ago and 84% thought the wider economic climate was worse now than a year earlier. Full story >
