Web design company eBusiness UK has become the first company in its field to be awarded membership of the British Franchise Association (BFA).

The company established its franchise model in 2007 and currently boasts operations in Edinburgh and Glasgow, with others in the pipeline.

Companies wanting BFA accreditation have to undergo close scrutiny in every aspect of the business.

"BFA membership is not awarded lightly and it took a great deal of time and effort to prove that we comply," said Kam Kothia, managing director, eBusiness UK.

"However it is a very worthy accreditation and will make us stand out among other businesses."
