National regeneration agency English Partnerships have been awarded a lifetime achievement award for the agency's contribution to regeneration and innovation.

The 2008 Housebuilder Special Award was presented to English Partnerships at the Housebuilding Innovation Awards at the end of October.

"The cornerstone of English Partnerships over the last fifteen years has been to create high-quality, well-designed sustainable places where people want to live, work and spend their leisure time," said outgoing chief executive of English Partnerships, John Walker.
