Carbon Footprint Ltd has been voted new business of the year at Inspire08's award ceremony.

The company offer businesses a comprehensive Carbon Management programme that will help the environment and save on firms money on their utility bills.

The programme gives companies an initial appraisal of their carbon emissions, then takes businesses through how to development an environmental policy and strategy and how to implement managable change.

"In the current economic conditions it has never been more important for businesses and consumers to reduce their costs by managing their energy usage and carbon emissions. Typically up to 30% of energy used is wasted," said John Buckley, Carbon Footprint Ltd's managing director.
