The IMRG forecast that customers will spend over £100m online - 20% more than last years total of £84m.
"25 December is an increasingly important day for online retail and we expect this year's to be very busy," said Brian McBride of website retailer Amazon.
Internet shopping is taking increasing numbers of customers away from the high street, with the IMRG estimating the total amount spent on the internet over the Christmas period at over £13bn.
