British Airways have said that 65% of flights will run during the strike action this weekend due to the training of extra staff.
BA commented that the number of staff offering to step in as temporary cabin crew has increased so it is able to reinstate some previously cancelled long-haul and short-haul flights.
"I am delighted by the numbers of cabin crew who have been getting in touch with us to express their disillusion with Unite's position. We will now have the potential to fly more than 4,000 additional customers per day and serve more destinations," said BA chief executive, Willie Walsh.
Air France cabin crew recently called a four day solidarity strike to coincide with the second strike period by BA cabin crew, due to take place for three days from March 28th.
