British Airways cabin crew have begun a five-day strike over a long-running dispute regarding jobs and pay.
The Unite union is also demanding the restoration of travel concessions to staff that took part in the last round of strikes in March.
BA has said it plans to fly more than 60,000 customers a day during the strike and will operate 60% of long-haul flights and 50% of short-haul services from Heathrow. It says all flights at London Gatwick and London City will operate normally.
BA went to court in an attempt to block the strike action and was granted an injunction after the High Court ruled that the Unite union had not reported results of its strike ballot correctly to members. However, this was overturned last week by a panel of senior judges.
The next strike period is due to start on May 30 and last until June 4 and the final strike action will start on June 5 and run until June 9. These dates could change if the paries manage to reach an agreement.
