UK growth seen lower

The CBI has cut it's forecast  for growth in the UK to 1.3% for 2011, down from 1.7% in May and this was also a downward revision from 1.8% forecast in February.

This is on a par with estimates for US growth, also seen as weak and increasingly there are calls for additional financial stimulation, or QE3, to underpin a very fragile recovery.
