Well amidst all the eurozone economic doom and gloom, it is nice to have some UK good news and on top of the inflation rate getting closer to the target rate of 2%, we now have a further drop in the number of UK unemployed.
The rate in the last quarter has fallen to 8.1% from 8.3%, according to statistics released by the ONS (Office of National Statistics), going in the right direction but still leaving over two and a half million people out of work, though 65,000 people found work in this period.
There are concerns however that this number is supported by the creation of Olympic related jobs that may disappear in due course, after the closing ceremony.
