The National Business Awards in partnership with Orange has revealed over 150 of Britain’s leading businesses and business leaders as finalists in the prestigious awards programme. Ten companies have been named as finalists for the BlackBerry Growth Strategy of the Year award.

This award will go to the organisation that can best demonstrate a growth strategy that has achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement, and has a robust plan in place for sustained financial growth.

Finalists for the BlackBerry Growth Strategy of the Year award are:

FINE+RARE Wines
Ella's Kitchen
MVF Global
Scientifica
The Foundry
Baringa Partners
Joseph Joseph
Berwin Leighton Paisner
Lycamobile
Pall-Ex Group

Announcing the finalists shortlisted for the category, Phil Lander, Senior Director, Research In Motion (BlackBerry), said: “Our finalists have displayed solid growth over the past year. This is an outstanding achievement, especially considering the tough economic climate they are currently operating in. It’s great to see such a diverse mix of businesses in this category representing the UK’s business landscape.”

Finalist representatives will now prepare to make presentations, which will be judged by independent expert juries at London’s iconic Gherkin, to determine the overall category winner, announced at the awards ceremony on 13th November.

Alex Evans, Programme Director of the National Business Awards said: “Finalists for this year’s BlackBerry Growth Strategy clearly demonstrate how investing in people, creating value for the customer and constantly innovating increases profitability.”

All National Business Awards finalists represent an annual turnover in excess of £135 billion and collectively employ over 700,000. They cover activities as diverse as digital marketing, international road haulage and logistics, water engineering and life sciences: sectors that reflect key areas of UK capability with high potential for international expansion. The diverse size of the companies entering is also huge – ranging from a business with an annual turnover of less that £50k to high growth and high value companies with multi-billion revenues.
