UK inflation figures just released from the ONS (Office of National Statistics), show a small drop from 2.6% in July to 2.5% in August, heading somewhat slower than expected to the Bank of England's target level of 2% which it expects to hit in early 2013.

Prices came off for household services, furniture, health, clothing, footwear and gas but increases were seen in fuel costs.
