The makers of the Blackberry, Research in Motion (RIM) have announced lower profits for the quarter to December alongside news that has sparked off a 10% drop in their share price.
For the first time their subscriber base has dropped and a new billing system has also muddied the investors waters a little as to the prosepects for future revenue.
However they still have 79 million loyal customers, a new handset on the market, the Blackberry 10 from the end of January and are not short of cash but it is the fall in subscribers by a million in this period that has caused the flight out of RIM stock.
