The last Friday and the last working day before Christmas, is usually a happy day but for believers in the predictions in the Mayan calendar, December 21st 2012 is the day when the world comes to an end. If I were you though I would still get a turkey, just in case.

There are schools of thought that think these predictions come out of alien visitations with advanced technology, thousands of years ago, so let's hope that something out there isn't sitting behind a massive laser gun or whatever technology aliens use for these events, checking his watch. The timing of it is a little vague, as it always is in these situations but some calculations put it around 11am UK time.

To be honest if it is at this time I will be really annoyed as I have just paid all my bills and have a 2pm Christmas lunch booked.
