If it wasn't for the big six energy companies hiking prices for the greater majority of the UK consumers, we may have seen the UK inflation rate somewhat nearer the Bank of England's target level of 2.00% but it has refused to go lower than 2.7%, staying at this level for three straight months, according to data just released from the ONS (Office of National Statistics)

Fuel prices were lower for the period that fed into lower air transport costs, that dropped close to 7% and the overall figure came in at analysts expected levels.
