Figures released by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show inflation falling again to 1.7% for the month of February, a four year low. This was mainly caused by lower fuel prices, petrol and diesel.

The Bank of England is targeted to keep inlation at 2% or lower and despite recent energy price rises, economists are looking at an end of year inflation figure of 1%.
