More good economic data out from the Office of National Statistics, shows unemployment still on the downward path with a further 97,000 off the list in the three months to the end of November. The number of people actually in work is now at the highest level ever at 73.2% of the available workforce, with the jobless rate now standing at 5.8%.All good news for the Prime Minister of course, just ahead of an election but no doubt the opposition will focus on the unemployed young in the country (16-24), that has an 18% unemployment rate, with over 700,000 out of work.
