Figures released from the ONS (Office of National Statistics) on UK unemployment are unchanged at 5.1 % of the total workforce, still the lowest level for ten years. These figures are to the end of January 2016, with just under 1.7 million people currently unemployed out of a total workforce of 31.4 million. The number of people in the UK work bank is up nearly half a million in the last year as new jobs are being created in the more positive post recession business environment.

Overall good news but the level has stuck just the wrong side of 5%
