UK Growth for Q3 Higher Than Expected

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has reported slightly higher figures than expected for the third quarter of 2016 to the end of September, coming in at 0.6%, with forecasters looking at levels around the 0.5% mark.

Within the period, the ONS said that consumer and business demand has been very strong though the expected rise in the inflation rate may well cause this to ease in the first half of 2017

Still early days after the Brexit vote in June but no signs as yet that the UK economy is taking a nosedive and is showing the same profile as before the vote, despite the fall in the value of sterling.
