Eureka Moment

My Eureka moment came when I realised there was a real gap in the market for fun, rebellious cookies that were also completely free from the top 14 allergens. I wanted to create something that was safe for everyone but didn't feel like a compromise. That was the start of The Rebel Baker.

Finance

Finance has been one of the hardest parts of the journey. I put over £100,000 of my own savings into this business and took a Virgin StartUp loan to help me build strong foundations. It was a huge risk but also a vote of confidence in myself and my vision.

Regrets

I do not regret much because every mistake has taught me something valuable. If I had to pick one, it would be putting too much trust in early leads before contracts were signed. That experience made me tougher, sharper, and less likely to put all my eggs in one basket.

What would you have changed?

I would have built my network sooner. Connecting with the right people, mentors, and support programmes has been a game changer. Being part of communities like Virgin StartUp has shown me how powerful it is to share the journey and not do it all alone.
