From the 15th of January the airline bmi are to double the number of flights to Riyadh, the Saudi capital, with a dedicated service catering for the business traveller.

The service will operate from Heathrow and will increase the number of flights to the capital of Saudi Arabia to six a week.

"We are delighted now to be able to double the number of services to the capital of Saudi Arabia to meet the growing demand," said Nigel Turner, chief executive officer of bmi.

"The increase in frequency will enable us to offer a wider range of connecting opportunities at Heathrow for both leisure and business travellers, particularly those connecting to and from the USA."
