The Government has named 233 businesses that have failed to pay their employees the living wage. The list is headed by Argos who owed members of their workforce just short of £1.5 million. Collectively they have all been fined £1,9 million, in addition to paying back the shortfall in the Living Wage unpaid.

Since 2013, the scheme has identified £6m back pay for 40,000 workers, with 1,200 employers fined £4m.
