The development will consist of 119 luxury flats and apartments starting from £699,000 for a 1 bedroom and up to £1.4 million for a 3 bedroom.

The name of the scheme, Long and Waterson, is based on the site's location in the E2 postcode, situated at the intersection of Long Street and Waterson Street.

Originally built in 1958 as bespoke workshops for furniture-makers and carpenters, the site has been used over the past 60 years by artists, photographers, fashion designers and textile makers. This industrial past has been cleverly incorporated into the design of the series of loft-style apartments created by New York's ODA architectural practice.

The architecture consists of two restored workshop buildings as well as the newly-built Waterson building. In the Long Street part of the scheme, the original crittall window settings have been replaced with new but identical-in-look windows to bring in swathes of light. The large windows are a key design feature of the building with light flooding through every penthouse, including the gym. Additional amenities include a 24-hour concierge service, sauna, spa and cinema room.

The development is in a prime location to target tech entrepreneurs in the Shoreditch area and affluent city bankers and lawyers in the nearby areas of Moorgate and Liverpool Street. The site is within walking distance of Hoxton Station and Old Street Station and close to the new Amazon office that opened earlier this summer. Amazon's Principal Place Building consists of 15 storeys, 600,000 sq feet and will eventually be home to over 5,000 employees.

The flats are available for viewing and purchase at longandwaterson.com [1]
