Serial entrepreneur and Dragons' Den investor Theo Paphitis received special recognition at the recent Institute of Financial Accountants awards ceremony.
The chairman of Ryman Stationery received an award for his contribution to UK enterprise. Theo was delighted to receive the award, which recognised his outstanding support of small business owners and entrepreneurs.
The IFA awards ceremony is designed to celebrate top talent in finance and enterprise and highlight positive role models.
The judging panel included IFA Chief Executive, David Woodgate, Kevin Kinsella from Kinsella Tax, Gina Hall from Vantis plc, as well as representatives from the Forum for Private Business, Lloyds TSB, Companies House and the National Enterprise Network.
Following an intensive day of interviewing, the judging panel of professionals and academics from the business and finance sectors selected 18 top people and companies in accountancy and financial management for demonstrating personal achievement and success in business.
As well as the top award that was presented to Theo Paphitis, awards were also handed out for other categories which included Business Entrepreneur of the Year, Accountancy Practice of the Year and Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
