Established in 2019, hubb is a usage-based insurance broker that prides itself on its transparent approach to commercial insurance, underpinned by a unique technology ecosystem that provides all clients with a 360-view of their insurance policies 24/7.

Launched in September 2020, the Government Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new jobs for 16- to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Having joined hubb in September 2021, all new six employees have fulfilled roles across core business functions in marketing, administration and business analysis - providing the opportunity to carve a new and exciting career path, while supporting the broker's long-term growth objectives.

Mark Costello, Founder and CEO of hubb, confirmed: "The Government's Kickstart Scheme is an excellent way to encourage UK businesses to employ young people looking to find their passion and advance their skillset, while providing access to affordable resource which can help drive business growth.

At hubb, we have ambitious plans to accelerate our market share in the coming months and are excited to welcome six new members to the team, who are not only united in our objectives for growth, but also our overarching goal to disrupt and transform the conventional commercial insurance model."

A proud member of Fintech Scotland, hubb operates from offices in both Glasgow and London and is currently engaged with regulators in other markets across Europe.

Over the last 12 months, the challenger insurance broker has experienced accelerated growth as SMEs opt for usage-based insurance compared to conventional policy models.

Open for funding applications until 17th December 2021, the Government Kickstarter Scheme covers 100% of the National Minimum/Living Wage for 25 hours per week over a period of 6 months.
