The company has taken the third floor of Arnott House which is located on Bridge Street and extends to 6,000 sq ft. CBRE secured the letting on behalf of Regus which already has a long-standing Belfast base at Forsyth House.

Arnott House previously underwent a major refurbishment in the communal areas and first floor to provide modern accommodation behind a listed façade. This was in anticipation of another major tenant, Boston engineering company Rapid7. The other two floors, including the third floor taken by Regus, are currently being refurbished.

This is the first letting for Regus in a number of planned acquisitions across Northern Ireland, with further Belfast locations, Lisburn, Newry, Derry/Londonderry, Omagh, Coleraine and Enniskillen all under consideration. With more than 2,800 locations and 2.3 million members in over 950 cities around the world, Regus is the global market leader in flexible workspace provision.

David Wright, director of Office Agency at CBRE commented:

"We have been working closely with Regus as strategic partner to assist with its global expansion. Our aim was to secure a strong strategic location and Arnott House is an example of an office building with plenty of potential, especially with ongoing refurbishment.

"The serviced office sector is an extremely important aspect of the property sector, providing short-term flexible office space for a multitude of businesses, from start-ups to large, global companies. The sector is set to continue to expand in the future with the continued rise in agile working practices."

Richard Morris, UK CEO, Regus said:

"This letting will enable Regus to strengthen its presence in Belfast and get a foothold for further growth into the regions across Northern Ireland. There is such diversity in the way office space is used by companies and we are sourcing the best locations to fulfill demand. The Arnott House site is well-placed and within walking distance of main transport hubs, several public car parks and in close proximity to Belfast's main shopping area. There are also many eateries in the surrounding area.

"Over the past year, we have opened workspaces in a record 554 new locations, bringing the total to more than 2,800. We have plans to open at least 300 more facilities in 2016."
