Amsterdam-born creative workspace pioneer Spaces has chosen Brighton as the location for its latest site. The company has taken 39,000 sq ft of space in Mocatta House on Trafalgar Place, a six storey building owned by Aberdeen Asset Management.

Spaces is a creative working environment with a unique entrepreneurial ethos. Its workspaces offer an inspiring environment designed to integrate lifestyle into work, and members are encouraged to build their networks and make connections. The new Brighton site is designed to meet the varied workplace requirements of today's entrepreneurial businesses. Private office and meeting space, as well a vast co-working space will be on offer, as well as an on-site café serving fresh deli food and barista- style coffee.

This announcement is the latest step in Spaces' UK expansion which continues to gain momentum. The company, which was founded in 2006, already has hubs in London, Glasgow, Liverpool and Gerrards Cross and is due to open in several other locations later this year. Internationally, the company has a presence in the Netherlands, USA, Australia, Japan, Singapore and Mexico.

Richard Morris, UK CEO, Spaces, comments:  "By providing social and inspirational environments with a real focus on community, Spaces is redefining what it means to be ‘at work.'

"Brighton is famously a hotbed of creativity and innovation and this makes it the perfect fit for Spaces.

Rupert Cooper, Network Development Director, Spaces, comments: "We're delighted to have secured the acquisition of such an outstanding building.  Mocatta House is an exciting addition to our network in the UK, providing a new business location with excellent transport links. "
