As an estate agent, I witnessed first-hand the challenges renters, landlords, and agents face in the chaotic UK rental market. krispyhouse.com was born out of a need to simplify and streamline the rental process. Our innovative platform provides WhatsApp-style communication that features direct messaging, video, and voice calling, all within a singular sleek app/site.

We aim to transform the market on three key fronts. 1) by enhancing communication and connectivity between tenants, agents, and landlords with our WhatsApp style functionality, 2) by offering an effective marketing platform that delivers great quality leads to estate agents and landlords and 3) by giving lettings agents innovative tools they need to increase their vital stock levels. All of this whilst being a cheaper alternative to traditional listing platforms like Rightmove and Zoopla.

Krispyhouse.com's 'dating service' approach simply leverages intuitive communication technology that already exists. Most trending apps such as Tinder and Bumble use the WhatsApp style of communication. Through our direct messaging and video calling app features, tenants can connect with agents and landlords in real time, facilitating smoother communication and faster decision-making.

Additionally, we use smart technology to match tenants with properties that align to their preferences. Tenants can upload their requirements and our platform will notify them when a well-suited property becomes available.

Feedback from users has highlighted how easy our platform is to use, particularly the direct messaging and video calling functionalities. Agents have positively expressed our efficiency in delivering quality tenant enquiries to them and landlords appreciate the streamlined communication and ease of managing interest in their properties. Our platform is now live and accessible to renters, landlords, and agents in London.

What challenges did you face in developing krispyhouse.com, and how did you overcome them?

Apart from dedicating the time and capital needed, there have been a number of challenges that have occurred. Primarily surrounding the scientific/technological elements we've implemented into the platform. The integration of multi-faceted features to the platform required rigorous prototyping and user feedback. Data security for example required collaboration with cybersecurity experts, enabling us to create a secure architecture (robust encryption protocols, stringent access controls and continued monitoring of safeguard user data).

Despite these and many other challenges, our dedicated team have successfully navigated each hurdle through in-depth research, collaborative problem-solving and agile development methodologies. Each challenge became an opportunity for further innovation, only reinforcing our commitment to delivering a revolutionary real estate platform.
