Apple - Most valuable company ever
Apple shares wobbled a bit a few months back when investors worried that there might not be enough innovation in the pipeline with the passing of Steve Jobs but all that has gone now. Apple stock has hit a high of US$ 664.75 as Apple loyalists expect a raft of new products in the near future.
At this moment, at this level, Apple is now the most valuable company ever, having eclipsed the previous high set by Microsoft way back in 1999 at year end. Microsoft acheived this during the gold rush that was the Dot com boom then and Apple have managed to get there during the aftermath of a long lasting and universal recession.
There are elements of safe haven trading here, as investors and fund managers have had many stock valuations eroded by universal selling, out of concern over the Eurozone crisis and lack of growth globally and Apple has been as near as a sure thing as you can get.
