Apple unveils new iPhone 5
At an event in San Francisco, Apple has launched the eagerly anticipated iPhone 5. The key changes from the iPhone 4s model are:
- A larger screen - The new iPhone is 4" in size compare to the 3.5" screens we have seen previously. The new screen also has a 16:9 ratio matching that of wide screen televisions
- 18% thinner than the previous model
- 20% lighter than the previous model
- The iPhone 5 will work on the 4G network being rolled out across 16 cities in the UK by Everything Everywhere (EE)
- 8 megapixel camera (same as iPhone 4s but claimed to take better low light photographs than any other mobile device)
- The handset also uses a smaller socket for its charger which means a cost of £25 to purchase the adapter that will fit into your existing equipment.
The phone will be available with 16, 32, 64 GB storage options and will operate iOS 6 from the 19th September
