Blackberry bosses step down
Once the undisputed choice of the Business world, Blackberry, the innovative phone produced by Research in Motion (RIM) and much more famous than the company itself, has failed to keep up with competitors such as Apple, Google and Samsung and the joint CEO''s, Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie, have decided that the time is right to step down.
While the Blackberry still has a global army of followers, the basic design hasn't changed that much and the lead they had through the manner in which emails were handled, that made it an absolute must for the business world, is now standard with other handsets having more features for business and consumers alike.
The market for Smartphones is very competitive and the price of not keeping up can be very expensive, as Nokia has found over the last few years.
RIM''s shares are currently bumping along at an eight year low.
