Cameron £1.4bn China deals
Cameron has announced total deals of £1.4 billion, following open and extensive talks at no 10 yesterday with the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao during his three day visit to the UK.
Gradually the barriers to free trade with China are coming down but we can now export chickens to China, banned following the bird flu outbreak in 2007 and various other meats will also be allowed in.
Agreements have also been signed to pave the way for UK firms to expand their operations, outside of the major commercial centres of Beijing and Shanghai.
Human rights issues were also discussed at the summit, something the Chinese no doubt would have liked to avoid but Cameron has stated that this thorny and potentially relationship damaging subject, will not be "off limits" at these meetings.
Protests about China's poor record on human rights and free speech were faced by the Chinese premier during his vist to Longbridge on Sunday
