EasyJet Profits up by 51%
EasyJet yearly profits take off to a massive 51% rise, pre tax to £478 million for the year to September 30th with just short of 61 million customers contributing to the pot.
The change to allocated seating was given as the main reason for this surge in results, a better trading environment in Europe and their operation of the Flybe slots they took over at Gatwick.
The company plans to give back to shareholders a special dividend of£175 million on top of the standard dividend payment, that sent the share price 6 % higher on the excellent trading news yesterday.
