Electronic payslips ‘will cut CO2’
Businesses could make a real difference to their carbon emissions by switching from paper to electronic payslips.
That's the verdict of HR management software provider MidlandHR, which estimates that companies could collectively save 994 tonnes of carbon as well as boosting their image by making the switch.
"Technology gets rid of all this paper and the need to store mountains of copies, resulting in tangible cost savings," said Richard Thomas, director of product strategy at MidlandHR.
"Making a simple change like switching to electronic payslips is one of the best ways to actively engage the green agenda and sustainability issues."Post Date: September 22nd, 2008
