Hosepipe ban lifted

Is it me or did the imposition of a Hosepipe ban back in April, seem to provoke the weather gods and bring on the terrible wet weather and what seems to be the wettest drought ever seen? 

By the same token, the removal of the ban by three of the heavyweight water companies, may well bring on the actual start of our summer and a reduction in what must be by now a huge charcoal mountain. This though is amidst flood and extreme weather warnings.

Why we expect that much from our summer I will never know and even then when it does heat up we are the first to moan about the temperature also. 

Still, once the floods in parts of the country subside and the deluge stops, then Wimbledon starts, an event that seems to provoke even the most harmless cloud into squeezing out a heavy shower.
