London world’s third priciest city
London is now only the third most expensive city for expatriates in which to live, slipping back from the second spot it held last year, according to research by HR consultancy Mercer.
The most expensive city was Moscow - for the third year running - while Tokyo came second with Olso fourth.
The survey compared prices on 200 items in 143 cities, with the weakening of the US dollar causing many changes.
Elsewhere in the UK, Birmingham slipped from 41st to 66th while Glasgow fell from 36th to 69th.
The cheapest city was named as Asuncion in Paraguay, for the sixth year running.Post Date: July 24th, 2008
