Santander recalls call centres

There seems to be a growing feeling that non UK call centres do not work, no matter how highly trained the staff are.

Santander, concerned over their poor complaints record, has just shut it's Indian call centres and will be taking on 500 staff here in the UK to deal with the ever growing branch network currently numbering 1300.

There is a big message here to other Banks and large companies, just looking at the bottom line and not attending to customer satisfaction. Adding to the unemployment situation here in the UK and supporting other countries economies by shipping jobs abroad, will not win you any friends, or clients but can certainly lose both.
