Sony Playstation- Huge data breach
Sony have just admitted that over 70 million customers have had their details stolen by a hacker, that could include credit card details and security questions. They discovered the breach and immediately closed their network but only admitted the massive security breach six days later, angering many of their clients who were left exposed to potential fraud for this period, unknowingly.
Sony is not certain that credit card details have been stolen but sent advice that this may have happened, though they don't believe the all important security code has been obtained.
Internet security is a huge problem for users but in instances like this there is very little that the individual or business can do but to expect the companies who look after our data, to do the job properly but this is never guaranteed.
What you do after such a breach is announced however, may save you time, inconvenience and money, so consider changing passwords and credit card details immediately.
