Tube strike disrupts icy Monday

Following the breakdown of talks between the London Underground Management and the Unions (RMT and TSSA) the London Underground one day tube strike commenced at 18.30 yesterday due to a dispute over staffing levels in ticket offices

Mike Brown, the Managing Director of London Underground, who wants to reduce the ticket office employee levels by 800 staff due to automation, called the Unions action in calling a fourth strike in recent days,"cynical".

Commuters struggle to work  in freezing conditions and uncertainty, though London Underground has pleged to keep as much of the service open as possible.
