UK Inflation on downward path

Having peaked at 5.2%, UK inflation dropped from 5.00% to 4.8% in November.Still a long way to go to get down to the target level of 2% but at least it is now moving in the right direction.

The drop in inflation, announced by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) yesterday was caused by cost reductions in clothing, food and transportation.
