UK Unemployment drops

UK unemployment for the three months to end of July drops from 7.8% to 7.7%, though the milestone figure of 7% is unlikely to be breached for several years, according to the Bank of England.

Just under 2.5 million or the available workforce remain out of work.

The Public sector is still shedding jobs but job creation in the Private sector job creation is covering this easily and there is a growing sense of optimism that the business environment is healthy and on the right track, shown by recent economic statistics  albeit slower than the Government might want.
