A new commercial arrangement between Regus, the world's largest provider of flexible workspaces, and Extra Motorway Service Area Group is set to improve the way many people can work on the move in the UK. It will help business travellers and mobile workers meet, work and communicate more effectively on the motorway network.

Regus will open Business Centre work locations at three busy Extra Motorway Service Areas in the South - M40 J2 Beaconsfield, A14 / M11 Cambridge and M25 Cobham. All three will offer those travelling by road walk-in access to business lounges, meeting rooms, and printing, copying, secure business-class Wi-Fi, and other administrative support services.

Andrew Long, Chief Executive of Extra MSA Group, commented: "Extra is pleased to be working with Regus, the major player in the fast developing industry of flexible work provision. Their Business Centres will complement the other substantial national brands represented at Extra's Service Areas, including its new M25 Cobham Service Area now under construction for opening early September this year in a strategic and very busy location midway between Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. The availability of excellent business facilities at these busy locations will improve the day-to-day experience of a growing number of people who work on the move in Britain."

Mark Dixon, CEO of Regus, stated: "This is yet another step in the global trend towards flexible working and the expansion of our growing Third Place business as more workers demand access to workspace outside the office and the home, as they seek to utilise the flexibility offered by mobile, tablet and cloud technologies. These new Third Place work locations mean that people are able to access a professional work environment anywhere, anytime and for however long they need.

"Like our other Third Place partnerships with Shell, SNCF and NS Trains, this agreement between Regus and Extra MSA Group is giving workers and businesses fresh ways to do business and new means to seize opportunities as they arise. It is one of many innovative Third Place initiatives being championed by Regus across the globe, and we are proud to bring it to the UK to hopefully improve the professional lives of and output of people working on the move here."

The partnership with Extra MSA Group is part of a series of agreements for Regus to open work locations at major European travel hubs:

* A pilot with Shell to open Regus business lounges at Shell petrol station forecourts across Europe

* Agreements with railway operators SNCF and NS to open Regus business centres at French and Dutch railway stations.

Those deals, and the agreement with Extra MSA Group, will likely help millions of people to work more efficiently. Travellers and mobile workers across Europe will have walk-in access to the working environment and state-of-the-art facilities of the modern office without the inconvenience of getting there.
