PR guru Max Clifford received special recognition at the recent Institute of Financial Accountants awards ceremony.

Clifford started his own business aged just 27 in 1970 and has represented clients such as Muhammad Ali, Marlon Brando, Roman Abramovich and Simon Cowell.

The entrepreneur talked about the changing face of the media, the importance to all businesses of having a recognisable brand and about the importance of backing your own judgement.

Following an intensive day of interviewing, the judging panel of professionals and academics from the business and finance sectors selected 18 top people and companies in accountancy and financial management for demonstrating personal achievement and success in business.

As well as the top award that was presented to Max Clifford awards were also handed out for other categories including Business Entrepreneur of the Year, Accountancy Practice of the Year and Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
