Alistage is a leading Aluminium platform, staging manufacturer and hire company. We are based in England with over 35 years of experience and own one of the largest hire stocks of stage equipment in the UK. We supply some of the UK's leading music festivals, TV shows, events of national importance and even Hollywood blockbusters - so there is never a dull moment in our business. Just this month we supplied Kensington and Chelsea Council for the Grenfell Tower Memorial Service. It was a very last-minute request and I am proud that we did our part and allowed the smooth operation of such an event. Our Head Office, Factory and Warehouse all on our large site North of London, from which we service customers all over the world.
How has it grown?
We have always prided ourselves with providing the highest service levels in the industry. The majority of our clients return to us year after year and this has allowed us to grow our business. In addition, we are constantly developing our extensive hire stock to meet our customers' demands even in the peak summer season where many of our competitors simply do not have the stock available to supply the industry's needs. We have also recently redeveloped our factory to be able to manufacture not only our own range of Aluminium Couplers Hooks and Fitting and Modular Aluminium Stages, but also opened our design department to take on manufacturing of custom design projects to meet our customers' needs.
What are the challenges?
Our industry is very specialized and everybody knows everyone. On one hand it is great that we get to work with the same people year after year and build personal relationships, but on the other hand you need to constantly stay on top of your game and constantly innovate and keep ahead of the trends. We just finished upgrading our manufacturing facility, renovated our office space and built a new website!
What are your plans for growth over the next 12 months?
Our immediate goals are to grow our client base for our factory using digital marketing and build a UK wide service network to expand the reach of our hire business. We are also increasing the volume of our hire stock in order to keep up with demand in peak periods. One of our biggest strengths is that when other companies cannot supply during the busy summer months, we get referrals as we are known as the company that has the stock to deliver even in the busiest periods. We have also just relaunched a new website and are investing in social media marketing and other digital marketing initiatives.
