Mutual has teamed up with Westfield Health, with the aim of providing
independent retailers and small business owners with reliable and affordable
health cover solutions that can be designed to suit their individual needs.
The Health Cash Plan puts the
client in control, offering access to valuable health and wellbeing services
plus the option to claim money back, up to set limits, towards the cost of
their essential healthcare. They can also use the plan to claim money back
towards GP-referred diagnostic consultations, dental treatments, eye tests and
even glasses and contact lenses from Pure Optical. It also includes cash pay-outs for hospital
stays, day surgery (NHS or private) and even the arrival of a new baby, giving
busy retailers some breathing space while they step away from running their
business.
To complement the Health Cash
Plan, The Retail Mutual is also offering their Members access to an Access
Surgery product, providing a low-cost alternative to traditional private health
insurance. Offering two levels of cover, the Access Surgery plan provides
business owners with the opportunity to access prompt diagnosis and referral
facilities, as well as benefit from faster access to a wide variety of
treatments for acute conditions. The plans cover most surgical procedures
except heart or cancer-related treatment – areas which the NHS already
prioritises. The plans can be tailored to suit Members’ individual needs,
giving them the flexibility they need to choose the cover that is right for
them.
