The Economic Development Board [EDB] Mauritius is inviting UK investors, business leaders and High Net Worth Individuals to come and explore the country's fast-growing economy and booming economic sectors at its dedicated Business and Investment Forum this March.

The event will take place on Thursday 26 March 2026 at the Conrad London St James Hotel in Westminster and will be free to attend.

Hosted by the Economic Development Board of Mauritius, the Forum will enable attendees to learn about major trends many sectors also including the booming real estate sector across Mauritius, while providing insight as to how individuals can discover tax-efficient investment opportunities.

Commencing at 17H00 on Thursday 26 March 2026, the forum will open with a presentation delivered by members of the EDB, followed by an insightful panel discussion by industry experts and a Q&A, enabling attendees to explore business and development opportunities on the island.

Furthermore, UK business leaders and investors will gain a first-hand insight into the advantages of investing in Mauritius, the legal tax framework, security and legal protection as well as how the island has maintained a strong economy over the years.
The sub-tropical island has strong economic fundamentals, with GDP per capita exceeding US$12,000 - being one of the highest in Africa - and also boasts controlled inflation, low unemployment, and sustained foreign investment inflows.

Mr. Abhimanu (Mahen) Kundasamy, CEO of EBD Mauritius, commented:

"Mauritius may be small in size, but it stands as one of the most dynamic and resilient economies in the region. With sustained GDP growth, robust foreign direct investment inflows, and a stable, investor-friendly legal and tax framework, the country offers a compelling proposition for UK investors.

At a time when investors are prioritising stability, diversification and sustainable growth, Mauritius presents a rare combination of economic strength, lifestyle appeal and strategic access to international markets. The London Forum is more than a showcase - it is a direct gateway to opportunity, and we look forward to showing UK business leaders, investors and High Net Worth Individuals how Mauritius can form a valuable part of their global investment strategy."

Mauritius is transitioning to a high-income economy through consolidation of its existing economic sectors, development of its knowledge base and investment in new areas including innovation-driven sectors such as ICT, Financial services, Blue economy, High tech industry, Smart Cities and Renewable Energy. The island aims to produce 60% of its energy from renewable sources by 2035.
