Business Advice for all UK firms from starting a business to flotation
33% of bosses unaware of their obligations
Over a third of small and medium-sized business owners are broadly unaware of their obligations as an employer, according to a survey by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
BIS have launched a service offering tailored advice for business owners on managing their employment law obligations with a free new online tool.
"We know that running a small business is both challenging and rewarding - and that this combination often fuels a successful enterprise. The essential job of managing employment law need not be one of these challenges," said Employment Relations Minister Lord Young.
All SME employers using the tool before the end of February can enter a draw to win a masterclass with YO! Sushi founder and original TV Dragon, Simon Woodroffe. To view the tool visit www.businesslink.gov.uk/whichbossareyou
