Business Advice for all UK firms from starting a business to flotation
Small firms neglecting their websites
Small and medium-sized business owners have been warned that they could be missing out on revenue by cutting corners with their websites.
A survey of over 2,000 small companies by Streamline.net found that only 10% said they updated their website on a daily basis, while one in three admitted that updates were done ‘infrequently', implying that web investment is modest
Many time-strapped businesses are limited to when they can address their web presence, with 22% of companies disclosing that late evenings are the only time they have ever dedicated to developing their website.
"It is perhaps understandable that work on the company website can often get relegated to evenings. However, every firm should ensure they invest quality time and energy into presenting the right image and engaging with their website visitors," said Claire Lewis, managing director Streamline.net.
